It has been just over a year since the Corona Virus pandemic hit the world globally. The pandemic has caused many people to readjust their lives and implement the compulsory acts of washing hands, social distancing and wearing masks. After months of being in lockdown the world slowly started to operate again having a few citizens going into the office and learners returning to school. This still all needed to be done in line with the COVID-19 rules and regulations which came along with many frustrations.

With so many people who have lost their jobs during the nationwide lockdown put in place by government; it has been a challenging time for many households to have access to food as the prices of basic goods continue to rise in local supermarkets. It is no secret that every human need adequate access to food everyday to survive. Throughout the lockdown period the number of homeless adults and children going door to door asking for food has increased. Lauren is an amazing person who one can instantly connect with when having a conversation. Her bubbly personality makes one feel so comfortable as if you have known each other for years. Maegan-Leigh Jacobs  South Africa is known for being one of the most diverse countries in the world. Consisting of four major racial groups, eleven official languages and democratic power; it is no surprise why the country is often referred to as the 'Rainbow Nation'. South Africa is located at the southern tip of Africa. It has numerous tourist attractions, giving the country one of the strongest economies on the African continent. With a population of over 59 million people; it is the 24th most populated country in the world. The country is divided into 9 provinces- each with their own legislature, premiere and executive council.  South Africa also has 3 major capital cities: executive Pretoria, judicial Bloemfontein and legislative Cape Town.  Each province has unique historical landmarks and resources giving each province a personality of its own.  The Eastern Cape has a population of  more than 6.9 million people and is known as the second largest province in South Africa.
